Fabric selection
We recommend soft, stretchy and naturally cozy knitted fabrics for this hat.
The lovely Claudia from ganzmeinding sewed the hat from our knitted fabric item no.: 205295
Are you a fabric dealer? In our shop you will find many knitted fabrics in trendy colours and prins. Our favorit: Angora Touch Jacquard item No.: 205060.

The pattern consists of 4 A4 pages and must be put together as follows:
1 – 2
3 – 4
Material:
Knit fabric 0.5 x 0.5 m
1 faux fur pompom. Alternatively: remnants of artificial fur.
Of course, you can make the wool bobble yourself.
Sew a bobble out of faux fur
Cut a circle out o your fur.
Tip: Fur imitations with a long pile are carefully cut with a razor blade, rotary cutter, cutter, carpet knife, scalpel. It’s simply about cutting through as little pile as possible and thus not damaging it. The trick is to just cut through the backing and the best way to do that is to cut slowly from the back.
Sew with a straight stitch approx. 1mm from the edge of the fabric.
Tighten the seam until the circle is complete.
Darn the bobble with craft floss.
Knot the threads, do not cut the thread – you can use the same thread to attach the bobble to the hat.
Sewing a beanie hat
Cut the hat in the fold.
Unfold the cut fabric and fold it vertically right sides together.
First sew the long sides of the fabric together. Then the rounded fabric edges above and below.
Line up the open area on one side of the hat, knot the thread tightly.
Turn the hat inside out through the other opening.
Now line up the other opening, placing the open fabric edges inwards so that they are not visible. Tie the thread tightly.
Slide this part of the hat into the other.
Sew on the bobble – pierce through the two layers of fabric and fix the upper parts of the hat in this way.
