Dress sewing pattern for woven fabrics – here comes MAREN!
Are you a sewing mom and just looking for a dress pattern to sew from woven fabric?
The free dress pattern MAREN is designed for solid fabrics and can be sewn wonderfully from woven fabrics such as poplin, muslin or fine corduroy.
The dress has a button placket in the back, a gathered skirt set at the waist and ruffled cuffs. The neckline is trimmed with bias tape.
Of course, you have the option of sewing the dress from a stretchy fabric without buttons. In that case you simply can do without the button placket on the back. You can border the neckline with a cuff like a T-shirt.
FABRIC RECOMMENDATION
Light cotton fabrics, poplin, muslin, jeans, wool or baby cord would also be good choices for this cute dress. Of course, you can also sew the dress out of stretchy fabrics.
We are often asked: Where can I buy your fabrics?
Hemmers Itex is a fabric wholesaler from Nordhorn/Germany, so unfortunately you can’t buy our fabrics directly from us. Just ask your favourite fabric retailer for our fabrics and show us your sewing results on the social media channels with the hashtag #fabricsforyourcreativity.
