MATERIAL FOR THE OKTOBERFEST BAG:
• For the bag: grey felt approx. 4mm thick, item no.: 100180 Col. 3002, 50 x 25 cm
• For the deer application: red felt: approx. 1mm thick, Art.No.: 112540 Col. 5019
• Vliesofix 10 x 10 cm
• Poplin print Art.No .: 133113 Col. 0001, 150 x 20 cm
• Ribbons, braids
• Cord approx. 1.5 m
INSTRUCTIONS
ruffle
Fold the fabric strip in the middle, right sides together, sew the short sides of the fabric, turn right side out, and press with an iron.
Curl the ruffle.
Heart application
Transfer the heart template to the smooth side of Vliesofix, cut it out roughly.
Place the rough side on the wrong side of the fabric and apply heat with the iron.
Cut out the heart and peel off the backing paper.
Position it in the middle of the big heart, cover with a damp cloth and iron.
Let it cool down and sew on with a small zigzag stitch.
You can apply the little fawn to the heart application and decorate the big heart with braids and ribbons.
Sewing on the ruffle
The ruffle is sewn between the two large hearts.
Pin the frill on the left side of the back part of the bag from marking point to marking point.
Sew on the edge of the heart with an auxiliary seam (straight stitch).
The cord end pieces should be flush with the ruffle and captured when sewing together.
Place both bag parts inside out and sew together with a zigzag stitch.
