CLOTHING FABRIC
Sweaters and knit fabrics
For a warm sweater, cardigan or knitted dress, choose a knitted item.
The knitted fabric is a generic term for all fabrics that are produced using a knitting machine. Compared to woven fabrics, knitted fabrics have a higher elasticity and are therefore less susceptible to creasing. If you want to sew a sweater for yourself, ask about these fabric qualities in fabric shops.

Clothing and tunic fabrics
There are many occasions when you can wear a dress. From a classic day dress to an evening dress. Depending on whether you want a dress that hugs your body or flows around your curves, you will need to choose the correct fabric. Woven viscose and chiffon fabrics, both don’t stretch unless cut on the bias. A stretched possibility would be therefore a viscose jersey fabric. These are very cosy and are particularly suitable for draped dresses. You could also sew yourself a gorgeous cosy dress with cotton jersey, but it won’t have the lustre of a viscose jersey.

Blouses and shirts
When it comes to blouses and shirts, it’s not just the quality of the fabric that plays an important role, but also the cut and the design. There are a variety of different style blouses from casual cosy, and elegant to classic blouses. Some blouses are worn loosely over the skirt or trousers. Others tuck them in for a smarter more elegant approach. However you wear your shirt / blouse, cotton fabrics are a great choice.
Poplin fabrics are suitable for beginners. They are easy to cut and the pattern can be easily transferred onto the fabric. It is important that you always wash and iron the fabrics before cutting and processing them.

SKIRTS AND TROUSERS
Do you also have the problem that you never find the right trousers for you? Very often the proportions not right. If the trousers fit well at the top, they are too short or too long at the bottom. What could be more obvious than sewing trousers that fit like a glove?
For the trousers of your choice, we suggest fabrics that are a little more stable. This includes jeans fabric or imitation leather. The linen fabric is an all-rounder and suitable for many cuts. Whether a cargo cut, classic 3/4 summer trousers or jeans – don’t worry about buying trousers anymore, but tailor your trousers to fit your body.
